This gallery shows images from a single, uninterrupted 60-minute headshot session with an acting student.

Nothing here is cherry-picked from multiple shoots or different clients. The images below represent the natural progression of a real session — from warm-up frames through to confident, settled portraits.

  • Multiple looks and framing variations

  • A mix of natural, relaxed and performance-ready expressions

The aim was to create headshots suitable for casting profiles, agents, and general professional use, while keeping everything natural and unforced.

Why we show a full session

Most photographers only show their strongest individual images. While that looks good, it doesn’t answer a more important question:

“What will my session actually look like?”

This gallery exists to show:

  • consistency of quality across a full shoot

  • how expressions evolve as clients relax

  • the realistic range you can expect within an hour

Many of the people we photograph don’t enjoy being in front of the camera — especially at the start. That’s normal, and it’s built into how we work.

How sessions usually progress

  • The first few minutes are about settling in

  • Confidence builds quickly with guidance and direction

  • Later images tend to look more relaxed and natural

  • A wide range of usable frames is captured

This is why we shoot with intention, not pressure.

Final image selection

From sessions like this, clients select their final images based on:

  • expression

  • suitability for their platform (casting, LinkedIn, website, CV)

  • how approachable or character-neutral they want to appear

Professional retouching is applied to final selections only, keeping skin texture and features natural.
